Hamburg, “Miniatur Wunderland” – The Wonderland Attraction of small cities and places
Today I take you to this magical place.
This is the largest model railway permanent exhibition in the world, but honestly, that was not the only thing that can amaze you. You go inside the world quite complex and full of life. You can get on a train, catch a plane, get a bus or even sail with the cruise ship. Go to concert, opera, theater. You can see around the everyday life all over the places – people at home, on the street, shops and offices. Miniature small size world without boundaries for your imagination.
For me, it is an amazing place and I can talk for hours about it. From the view point of professional work, creative implementations, to the joy factor that this real mini-world brings. Even the dining place has train interior, has train sits and pictures like train window aside. So cute! Here is a picture:
The two twin brothers, who got the inspiration and started this project, invest their creativity and invent constantly. I could say – they create inspiration. Which personally for me is essential for any job and any work. To do it with love, to be an inspiration, to provoke creativity, to bring joy and immense satisfaction. For me, the Braun’s brothers are an example of such entrepreneurship. It is 15teen years since the beginning of their project and more and more model sets of countries and areas are added to the exhibit. You can have a miniature walk through Switzerland, Austrian Alps, Scandinavia, America. I loved Italy (as I just was there recently) but also love the airport, the volcano – and many more amazing places. The team is working on few new places that are planned to be created in the coming 10 years. You can feel the time there – this is not static place – cars and buses are driving around, there is traffic, every 50 min the night comes, gets literally dark and you can see the houses and street lights in the darkness. The airport at night looks pretty much as the big one!
You can see and read more statistic on their website: http://www.miniatur-wunderland.com/ I took over 1000 pictures and as here cannot post them, I made two slideshows with few pictures – you can see them here part 1 and part 2 .
I highly recommend it. You will dive into a world of high creativity, you can feel the emotional investment and it is an inspirational spark.
